We have been breeding pets with great succes for over 30 years and
decided, just a couple of years ago, to start as a small hobby breeder
of the beautiful Biewer Yorkshire Terrier, based on bloodlines from
the famous Mr. Werner Biewer of the Friedheck Kennel. The Biewer Yorkshire was
originally a piebald genetic recessive gene occurrence from 2 Yorkshire
Terriers. It originated in Germany on January 20, 1984 from a breeding
by Werner Biewer’s Yorkshire Terriers. In this particular litter they
produced a piebald Yorkie puppy from a genetic recessive gene. This
piebald Yorkie puppy’s registered name was Schneeflöckchen von Friedheck.
Sire: Darling von Friedheck, a FCI World Junior Champion in Dortmund. Dam: Fru-Fru von Friedheck a
FCI World Junior Champion in Dortmund. Werner Biewer found this puppy to be quite beautiful and began
a selective breeding program to produce more piebald puppies. Werner
Biewer named these Yorkie’s with white markings “Biewer Yorkshire á la
Pom-Pon”. It was from these breedings the Biewer Yorkie was developed.
The breed was officially recognized in 1986 by the ACH (Allgemeiner Club
der Hundefreunde Deutschland) The original standard of the Biewer
Yorkshire à la Pom-Pon is the same as that of the Yorkshire Terrier
except for a different coat colouring. In 1997, after Mr. Werner
Biewer passed away, Mrs. Biewer just kept a few Biewer Yorkshire á la
Pom-Pons as pets and the Friedheck kennel ceased to excist.
Our Biewer
Yorkshire á la Pom-Pons and carriers are not available to
BTCA members or
those who support the Biewer Terrier.
Please note; The Biewer Yorkshire Terrier á la Pom-Pon
(see IBC standard, the leading first
and largest Biewer Yorkshire Club in the world)
and the Biewer Terrier (promoted by the BTCA) are two completely different
breeds.
Statement BTCA on Wikipedia;
The Biewer Terrier is a mixed breed started in America from
the Biewer a La Pom Pon, According to MARS the Biewer
Terrier is a mix breed also the Biewer Terrier will have 2
colors in the head and the Biewer a La Pom Pon has 3 colors
We are proud members of
the IBC (Internationaler Biewer Yorkshire Terrier Club e.V.) in Germany
where our puppies are registered and receive their pedigree
certificates. We praise ourselves very lucky that we had the means to
make our passion our hobby and all our Biewers live with us in our home
and garden, where they find all the love and care needed which is for
us a must! They’re also taken for walks and lots and lots of playtime to
a big forest, which is just across the road from our house. We aren’t
professional groomers and therefore our pictures will be straight to
reality because our dogs can be dogs, if you know what I mean? We would
never consider wrapping a dog to protect it’s long hair, all our dogs
are natural. All our puppies are born and raised in the loving
surroundings of our living room to make sure we have happy, healthy and
well socialized pups.
Our breeding program will eventually exist of approx. 6 girls and 2 boys, from
whom only one boy will live with us and the other with a friend of ours.
You can find all of our Biewers at all times here on our website, we
will never have any “secret” dogs whom are not listed with their full 5
generations pedigrees on our site. We put a lot of thought into which
dogs will be mated as these are made in the first place to
produce that special new dog(s) for our own breeding program. We pay the outmost attention to health and appearance
in our breeding selection
and believe that height is much more accurate than weight to determine
the size of a dog. As a hobby breeder we definitely go for (top) quality
instead of quantity and our girls take a rest of a year in between two
litters. However there may be exceptions made for girls who have an 8
to 9 month cycle, in which case they will have a longer rest after
having two litters. All our Biewers are healthy, top fit and under
permanent observation from our home vet and all our girls expecting a
litter are x-rayed at 55 days of pregnancy. The puppies may leave for
there forever homes at the age of 9 to12 weeks, by then they will have
had all their baby shots, been at least 5 times wormed, micro chipped
and will have had a full medical check up at least twice. All our
Biewers have been liver-shunt tested and all our puppies are
also tested for liver-shunt at the age of 7 to 8 weeks old.
All puppies come with a sales contract and one year guarantee against death caused by
a genetic defect, or any genetic defect that would be life threatening
to the dog.We
have no stipulations on spaying, neutering or breeding!!
From time to time we could have an adult dog for sale but only after we
have decided that he or she no longer fits in our breeding program. This
could sound a bit harsh but in the end, our goal is to breed perfect
little puppies and unfortunately we don’t have the space to keep them
all! So now and then we are forced to make heartbreaking decisions.
Go for quality instead of
quantity!!!!
As we strive for perfection in the Biewer Yorkshire Terrier, meaning
appearance, size, colour etc and being that the Biewer Yorkshire Terrier
is a colour mutation of the Yorkshire terrier while having exactly the same standard
as does a Yorkie (except for the colouring), we strongly believe that the
original Yorkies are the perfect partners to correct faults who are
found in the Biewer Yorkshire Terrier today. The Yorkie has been
brought into the German Biewer breeding program from time to time for
the past 25 years so who are we to stop now?

our thoughts on splitters a.k.a. Yorkshire
Terrier (Biewer Yorkshire carrier)
We know that the BTCA in the USA doesn't agree on our point of view
but bare in mind that we do breed Biewer Yorkshire Terriers á la Pom-Pon,
registered with the worldwide first, largest and leading Biewer Club,
the IBC in Germany. They are the only Biewer club who go back to the
beginning and who have the original ACH studbooks from the first
(Friedheck) Biewer Yorkshire á la Pom-Pon. Don’t be fooled into
believing that Biewers are not YORKSHIRE Terriers. ALL of the German
Biewers originated from registered YORKSHIRE Terriers of what is
considered normal colour and pattern for the Yorkshire terrier. The BTCA,
established just a few years ago, took it upon themselves to create
their own new standard which allows larger dogs with a tea cup tail
carriage, totally different to the original Biewer Yorkshire Terrier á
la Pom-Pon. Biewer Yorkshires are 5-7 pounds in size and there are no
other specified size categories in ANY registry. Also where it's not
allowed to use Yorkies in your breeding program. In other words, a
different breed (Biewer Terrier) all together with, where some have
little to nothing in common with the original Biewer Yorkshire á la
Pom-Pon and for this reason should be excluded from any Biewer Yorkshire
Terrier á la Pom Pon breeding
program.
All our Biewer Yorkshire
Terriers á la Pom-Pon, carriers and new born puppies are tested and free of livershunt!

There is in our opinion only one Biewer Yorkshire Terrier Club,
with all the original breeding registers that go back to the beginning
of the FRIEDHECK lines and this is the IBC in Germany. We welcome you to look around
and if we can answer any questions that you may have, please mail
us.
Finally we would appreciate
it if you would sign our Guestbook.

Als eerste Nederlanders
fokken wij volgens
prachtige goud-blauw-wit symetrisch getekende kopjes.
gevonden
hebben.
